Nad Bariteau Collagraphy Printmaking
WORKSHOP:
In this hands-on workshop, participants are introduced to collagraphy, a printmaking technique built on texture and experimentation. They construct their own plates by adhering materials like yarn, fabric, tape, cut paper, and leaves to rigid paperboard, layering them to create depth and pattern. The finished plates are then inked in different ways and run through a traditional press to pull prints. No printmaking experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
Nad Bariteau is a print-based artist with 25 years of experience in the craft. In 2018, Nad set out across North America in a mobile printmaking studio, eventually settling on Vancouver Island. Passionate about keeping the medium accessible, Nad is always happy to pass on printmaking knowledge to curious makers.
